attended for some time and was taking interest more than us..so we
packed him off;)
Dr.Faiyaz discussed a whole lot of technical and practical issues.
What i learnt was that environment and economics cannot be separate.
we need to think from both these point of views.also we can try to
manipulate data of staitistics to make our point clearer to
unknoweldgeable ppl.

He tried doing so to stop ppl of a village from killing the gecko
lizrds found in the surroundings.he said that this creature ate the
germs of TB.and since this one animal was killed, there would be
pandemic in the village soon...point made, whatever might be the way.

Comment - Comment

No, no this is no new article, it is just to inform you all( if your computer gets infected by a virus which makes this blog your default homepage; reason of you coming here), that Sameer and I are playing a very interesting game, name of the game, Comment comment.
Its very simple, we just write about something or other, just to eat up the mighty servers of Google placed somewhere in Mountain View, California (hunch), and then write comments, yes comments...on each others post...isnt it interesting. It is mighty interesting...I am telling you.
Just play it to know the joys of playing it.

Some times I feel like this while I write an article or something...

Wall, Wall behind the Wall,
Who has got most time of all!

And answer...I hope you know.

Buddy...We all are capitalist!

WTF is socialism? Oh yaa...(I had to open 10th std. Civics book to find the definition), but I am not going to waste my time quoting it, rather send you here. Do I hate socialism, I dont know but yes I would have loved it if Jessica Alba would have been in Red brigade, and Peta would have been under some Red agenda( I hope you understand). By the way, do you consider your self a socialist kind of person or a capitalist kind of person? I on record, yes on record consider myself a CAPITALIST kind of person.
I have my own reasons for it, prominently there are two, first being, I hate giving my ice cream to others, second I like to eat ice creams on another's money. These are two fundamental rules of capitalism, told no where. Enjoy your profits, try not to invest your money. Socialism is all skewed, if I would have been socialist then, I would not be eating ice cream on first part since I can not avail it for few beggars who roam outside Ice cream parlor, second, if I had to eat one, then I had to invest my money, and try that it should be enough for everyone around. So I using few ounce of my brain fluid have come to conclusion that 'I am capitalist'.
Human, though we can fight over it is an animal( few of my friends do not agree over it...they want to put 'social' before animal) we survived for such a long time because we fought for our food from the animals which were much stronger than us, from nature which was most of the time against us. We are still same, though now we call us civilized, and under this pressure of being civilized we pegged social before animal. All the great discoveries (off the record) were made for cynical reasons, and not for some social reasons. To make social discoveries and inventions you have to be a really great person, which by nature we are not. But to be popular you have to have an social agenda behind your innovation...now you have got two options, first become a great person and then make a social innovation, second, be a normal person, make a capitalist discovery and prove it that it is was social concern which prompted you for that discovery/invention/innovation, which by far is the easiest way.
This whole world is a part of some or the other kind of pyramid, where you eat ( both real and virtual) someone and someone eats you, and still few people wants to prove that socialism is basic property of humanity, bull ****. Some may argue that, its capitalism, due to which we are facing various demons of this modern era, like Global Warming, AIDS, Poverty and etc etc...I say NO its all because of what so ever amount of socialism percolated in our society. If it would have been (PURE)capitalism, then after creating lots and lots pollution, one would have not bothered to clean it up and would have left the place itself and would have given nature a chance to clean itself, but under socialism, you stick to the place citing social reasons, and try to do the job which you are totally unfit to do. AIDS can only be solved by the arms of capitalism, let the big companies make the vaccines, and then if they dont get ready to give you for cheap, ban them, which company in its normal mind would like to be out of a nation which have a ever growing population of HIV infected population.
Raam, on the beach of Rameshwaram, tried to be social, wasted his time, and finally resorted to capitalism...Capital Punishment...it worked.
To sum it all, one must use socialism as a tool of capitalism rather than something which is against capitalism. In ice cream analogy, spend some money on ice cream, eat it in front of poor, and inspire them (if any such thing happens) to have that ice cream, inspire them to use this capitalist world and get their very own cup of ice cream.

Ice cream for everyone...

Mindful Curry

So jee sirjees and madam jees, what do you think this article will contain?

i am still pondering over what to write and what not to,but then i decide to write about what you and i are doing right now.

thinking.

and just add a prefix before that, make that creative thinking.

As we all sit in our classes, muging up formulas, batalling assignents(and sometimes teachers),fighting for study material and notes, the aspect of our youthful minds that takes its toll,is thinking.

We are most of the times supposed to do what others are doing, and sometimes when we are supossed to do what we think,we don't get the time to think enough.

So what to do.
Simple,let your mind run amock.

Here are the various stratergies(a nice word i picked up from english news channels during the cricket season) which i sometimes employ during my waking hours, while doing the normal course of work.

One of the best ways to create something new is the think about the phrase "what next?".

For example, sitting in my physics class, there was a discussion on polarizers and cameras.i added "what next?".

The phrase became something like this:black and white pics, coloured pics, digicams, what next?

I asked some ppl,and the replies where surely creative.A hand held 3d camera.

The thinking might have been made earlier, but still something new from the ordinary.

do something like this, telephones, mobile phones, what next?
holophrapic 3d veiwers.

electronic meters,auto rickshaw meters,what next?
cycle rickshaw meters, mechanical or non mechanical, but non tamperable.

Things like these might be present, but then they surely do give you a new idea.As you think more about an idea, the better picture you get about it.

If your answer is something thats very very common, just add some adjective to it.like making things or processes cheap, available to all, locally used materials.

like,telescope,microscope,what next?
i say microscope, with the bamboo poles which are hollow.

i know this article is stretching far beyond its permitted length, but please, bull and bear with us.

The next approach, thats possible,is using problems.
like, just pick out a person from among the crowd, and think what problem would he be facing?

lets take global warming.
take biotech and add.

you get some protein capable of splitting water, releasing
hydrogen by hydrolysis, the economy turns from fossil fuel based to hydrogen fuel based.hydrogen gas, free and simple.

take counter strike.
take electronics,and add.
you get some devices fitted on the caps which act as detectors for lasers(LDR circuit etc.).

you use lasers on guns for firing.with some appropriate arragnement get some thing for scoring, and covert college campus into unreal tournamnet playground.

add biotech and air conditioning.(bacteria's cooling air?)

add biotech and fireflies.(proteins emmiting light transplanted into plants)

add electronics and pens(a pen that scans and prints too, ideal for copying from books into notebooks)

so just take a problem and add something to it to get something..well in the first and idea and then something concrete.

10 ideas you get,2 implemented,1 clicks.

Keep thinking,till i think..

what next?

You, Me and Energy.

Energy Disparity

____________ = k < = >Energy = Carbon(k)

Carbon Disparity

This blog off late was very focused on my creative stint with literature, and not so on my technological overviews. To say, you can remove Kartik from science, but not science from Kartik, so be it. One more thing which I would like to tell is that its examination season here, and my next exam which by any measure is very important, is all about energy, ecology, environment and society. This subject is somehow responsible for my this post, but the thing which really launched me to my computer chair was the Global economic summit, or something like that(forgot the name).

Not discussing much about the summit and coming back on the topic of energy and carbon, I think the formula I mentioned is very much clear even to the one who is not well versed with mathematics...( you still need to know the basics). Explaining it, its nothing but proving that carbon produced at present as we very well know is directly proportional to the amount energy used ( Here k is the carbon constant). World though globalised is yet not fair and equal, and it starts with energy and ends on carbon. There is a wide gap in per capita energy need between a resident of a developing nation and the one in developed nation. This some how as discussed accordingly is, translates into the carbon disparity. Energy diparity cn be directly linked to the development of a nation, and so can be the pollution. Reason being that with the present technologies which are very much dependent on carbon for energy, the more you use them, the more they will lead to the carbon production. We are having options but the options are either still under scientific domain, or are only in the reach of the rich.

Focusing on India, which is still beating its wings to get into the league of developed nations, is in a very trivial state. Since being a nation under the lime light due to its current economic growth, it is being asked to check its carbon emission and on the other hand, as it is not a developed nation, facing problems of electricity shortage is in dire need of energy, which means more production of carbon. Though due to this very reason India enjoys a very significant position in the market of Carbon credit, but we in no normal logic can undermine India's energy needs. India being on the leaner side of carbon production can cash on the international carbon credit policy, but the question remains for how long.

Development with itself bring various advantages, and one of them is being a first. This position is being still enjoyed by various nations. Lesser you are developed more the chains are around you. I am not hoping for sudden open sourcing in technology as it will mar the profits of being the first, so this brings India and nations on similar ground to become first. They have to somehow work in the manner so that they can remain on the profitable side of carbon economy and also on the healthier side of energy economy. We can not deny that the call of present is to save the globe from global warming, but we can also not deny from the fact that this whole scenario which includes carbon, energy, global warming is a rut. As it is with any kind of rut, you need to do some thing extra ordinary to come out of it. Demand of present is some extensive research in the fields of energy, and if it requires some global technological collaboration then on nation should not shy from that, this applies to developed and developing alike. Money is a sure lure, but to have a better world we need to have a much bigger goal and that is global sustainability. If we will survive for longer duration, I am sure there will be more options for earning money for all the people alike. Lets keep few things out of the money vision binoculars, and one of them has to be energy, and other can always be AIDS.
