this is a toned down version of my learnings from the balshree camp reunion of 2007.
meant for those who don't have a yahoo account or haven't joined the yahoo group for balshrees.,or haven't seen this post on orkut's balshree community.(please join it)

Reunion camp of Bal Shree Awardees (1995-2005)

14th nov

Awardees witness programmes of ICA with other participants.
Open air Theatre at 0100 hrs.

enjoyed a lot...thats where the story of the fallen chip god and
gondhal were made..got to know that i was the lone survivor(I AM
LEGEND) from CSI(for then only)

Welcome and combined session of all awardees with the Chairperson of
NBB, Begum Bilkees I. Latif and director,Amita Shaw.

Awardees divided into their different groups as per their stream.

Interactive session of one grp with Padamshri Saroja Vaidyanathan.
Mekhla jha(hence forth MJ),1030hrs.
Another grp interacts with Mr. Lokendra Trivedi.

Collage making session of one grp with the participants of
ICA(International Children's Assembly) under guidance of Mr.Ravinder
Sharma.

the misconception of the lone survivor was gone...got 2 ppl in
science.were told about new developments informally in NBB.met Ghosh
sir,started on the project of treaure hunt.ate milk pudding at Akiko's
stall(this japanase stall was also there selling great food).

We organized a treaure hunt as a part of our project for sustainable
development.ppl part of ICA participated in the early morning 17th nov
competition.the places were all inside NBB and related to
sustainablity.All accused me of having this programme to have
casualities after reading my poems,as part of clues.

had an informal session at MJ.got everybody singing..and dancing..to
the beats of oldies...special thanks to 1995 batch for entertainment...

since the day we entered we were not allowed to go out of the campus
due to security reasons(which all appreciate,i hope).the we wrote
signed an application saying we all are responsible for our behviours
blah blah(thank you ramanuj for your legal language..and then went of
to visit palika and CP,got Anant sir's duracell finally!)

16th Nov.

CW:continuation of work on wall magzine under the guidance of

CSI:Interactive session on Biodiversity with Dr.Faiyaz Khudsar.

Session was good...were even able to hijack partha da from CW.he
attended for some time and was taking interest more than us..so we
packed him off;)
Dr.Faiyaz discussed a whole lot of technical and practical issues.
What i learnt was that environment and economics cannot be separate.
we need to think from both these point of views.also we can try to
manipulate data of staitistics to make our point clearer to
unknoweldgeable ppl.

He tried doing so to stop ppl of a village from killing the gecko
lizrds found in the surroundings.he said that this creature ate the
germs of TB.and since this one animal was killed,there would be
pandemic in the village soon...point made,whatever might be the way.

could two ppl make a model??ok we made hand made paper at the
recycling plant at NBB.(yes it has not got one...that's why everybody
was gifted a hand made paper file)

Evening:AV presentation on cartoon making by Mr.Joel Gill.

Bunked both...had a personal bunk...went to chandini chowk with slow
moving creatures,called humans..named sudeep,sneha,sruthi and
ramanuj..and we all collected our blue line souvenirs(tickets)...ate
at paranthe waali gali..with a sweet called rabri..while ppl there
enjoyed shabri..!

camp fire...

the camp was on fire with special performances by balshrees..rupesh
sir and (*sir i don't know the name of till then*)sunil sir,simply
rocked...fusion of
classical music(by rupesh sir)and all instruments(electric
guitars,base guitar,drums,anything left out?),created using his
own MOUTH..by sunil sir.
Neha didi's singing,santosh's bharatnatyam,manushree's dancing ,ankits singing..all rocked..!

i was declared the official photgrapher for the event!everybody gave
me their cameras that why i am not in the view.

was cancelled due to non availablitiy of audience...

instead we experimented with Ghosh sirs new handicam.he made a movie
called In pursuit of Balshree-ness(or whatever he may want to call it).
kind of a documentary about four fields of balshree and their awardees
at their work.like CW ppl making wall mag.CA ppl making wall
painting,CP ppl performing.CSI ppl doing nothing!.

few ppl attended this session...but was ok ok...got some tips to boost
creativity,but was so tried to listen,
that i thought of a contact lens making me capable of sleeping with my
eyes open...creativity na!.

session was all about how creative process works...got some study
material too..about what to do when struck for an idea..also he
conducted the mensa test...but you all can ask for getting that study
material via post of email fom NBB..i hope..

The ending day also featured a combined non official meeting.To
discuss about the manipur issue(the bal bhavan there is being
demolished),to discuss about the social initiative by the balshrees(ok
you are a balshree,then what??)..and collecting names and
addresses...(god know where they are now)
